Bike & Bird is located at 34 Herberton Road, Atherton, the bustling regional centre of the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland.
The town has been shaped by a rich history of tin mines, goldfields, Red Cedar logging and agriculture. But before Atherton developed into the town it is today, it was a full-blown Chinatown with a population of 1,100. Today, the Hou Wang Temple remains as one of the few reminders of its former glory.
Art works and markets, gourmet cheeses and chocolates, the Atherton Rail Trail and the tunnels and grottos of the famous Crystal Caves are just some of the delights you’ll find within striking distance of Bike & Bird.
The Atherton Tablelands is fast emerging as the outdoor and adventure holiday capital of Queensland.
With an ever-growing network of international standard mountain bike trails, and Rail Trails , World Heritage rainforest and national parks, unique flora and fauna, volcanic crater lakes and waterfalls, and rich farmland producing delicious food, what’s not to love?
